According to recent comments made by Steve Jobs, it looks like Flash support won't be headed to the iPhone/iPod touch anytime soon.

Excuses. Take a look at the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP).
It has less RAM and less processing power than the iPod Touch and the iPhone. Yet it supports flash and can be used to browse and watch flash animations from sites like www.homestarrunner.com just fine.

I'm not genius at this, but maybe playing a flash game on your Touch could overload Safari and crash. Heck, maybe at startup of a game or other Flash thing you're looking at can cause safari to crash. Hasn't anyone's Safari ever crashed because of overload?

Yeah the fault is with Safari not Flash. I'm a Mac fan, but Safari is terrible.

This is good, I hate most flash.

That being said, I want to quote one thing from the article
If they already know how it performs, then there's a good chance they've alreadytried it.

to the guy who said stuff about the PSP up there ^^

theres a version of flash called flash lite or whatever which is fine for little things like the psp (as you said, less processing power and ram) or treos or something and then theres the regular flash. we're missing the one in between (iPod

to basically sum up that article...why would apple put flash on the ipod touch iphone anyway? it would be a stupid move on their part. adobe is their competitor in the movie section. as in quicktime and flash. why would they want to help their counterpart? apple wants everyone to use quicktime. the only reason flash is the most popular is because it was FIRST. now everyone uses it. the only reason it would be a good idea to put it on the iphone is that, like 90% of pages use flash.
