I want to stay connected to wireless, I know there was something like this for 2.x firmware, but I'm not sure what it's called or if it still works. Can anyone explain how I could stay connected to wireless even when my iPod Touch 2G is in standby?

I want to do this so I can receive Push notifications at all times, not just when I unlock my iPod and it connects to WiFi.

I think you're looking for Insomnia in Cydia. It keeps your wifi connection active even when the ipod is in standby. It will drain your battery quickly though.

There's an SBsettings toggle called KeepAwake.
Doesn't waste your battery asmuch as insomnia.

I use Insomnia, though it does drain my battery pretty quickly. I'll try KeepAwake, thanks for the suggestion.
