Name it Default_BG.png and put in com.apple.springboard.

Don't delete, just copy and rename. I think, I never used statusbar.png so I dunno but I know default.bg.png. is the app statusbar.

nope, when i use transparent default_bg in the springboard.app, i get translucent black status bar in all situations, app or not.

Seriously? I have a gray Default_BG and it works fine. This is weird. You did capitalize, right?

    Try FSO_BG.png and FST_BG.png

    Supposed to be

    Default_BG.png - Application Status Bar
    FSO_BG.png - SpringBoard Status Bar
    FST_BG.png - LockScreen Status Bar

    But nehh. Dunno man.

Isn't there that key you can put into a theme's Info.plist that can force it to use one? I'm not sure.

    Yea, http://www.modmyi.com/forums/skinni...omplete-list-info-plist-keys-winterboard.html

Check if any activated themes have it.
