Hey, I just started learning objective C a couple days ago and I can make simple applications now with navbars, alerts, etc. So I am asking you people for a simple application that I can do, now don't ask for things like linerider or heavy graphics games, because I can't do that yet.

EDIT: Ok I am working on a golf scoring application, and here is my progress so far. Any suggestions are welcomed.

A nutrition/diet tracker would pretty cool. And btw, its nice to see that you are taking things slowly and not being overly ambitious with your app dev. It's sad to see so many people thinking they can code some kick-ass app without knowing a thing about Obj-C. Good job bro, keep up the good work.

A PDF reader would be a very easy project to create. All the requisites and tools are built into the Objective-C frameworks already. Just create a view, and load the file into it.

A simple two step process. Once you have that, set it as one view, then create a primary view that uses NSFileManager to browse the file system, etc, to select the pdf. Have your controller create a new thread (NSThread) to load the pdf into memory while the app also transitions to the new view. That way you can improve the performance of your app a great deal.

    Should be simple enough.
