    Hey guys, it appears SSH as stopped working on my iPod, nmap is reporting that it's not listening on port 22.

    I have diagnosed my network to bits even creating a separate VLAN for my laptop and iPod to sit in and talk, but still nothing.

    Does anybody know how to start the SSH service from Terminal?
    I have already tried reinstalling OpenSSH and the following commands:

    sudo /sbin/service ssh start

    /etc/init.d/sshd {start|stop|restart|reload|condrestart|status}

    Rgrds
    S2

    Hello.
    When I find out the sshd proces i get this:

    iPod-touch:/System root# ps aux|grep sshd
    root 480 0.0 1.2 275796 1440 ?? S 8:10AM 0:01.89 /usr/sbin/sshd -i

    why you don't probe "/usr/sbin/sshd -i"

    Good luck
