I recently jailbroke from a backup because an app stopped running. Now I have wifi it says on the top bar but when I tried going into safari or an app that needs wifi, it says there is no connection. My computer connects just fine. Any ideas? When I reboot my iPod it starts working again but this is not a log term solution

Try restoring using the blobs again? And even if you think the router is fine, try resting it anyway.

    Or try start - cmd prompt - ipconfig /release - ipconfig /renew - ipconfig /flushdns

True, but he's having a problem with his wifi connection. And if his internet running to the router is having trouble, it may be because his DNS needs flushing.

Restate router anyways... It's happened to me at my friends house with his computer not working but everything else. I would just do it cuz it doesn't take long.
