Hi, I just upgraded to a 1.1.4. I SSHed into my iPod and have been trying to delete stocks, contacts, and weather apps since I never use them. But although I deleted the folders the applications don't disappear. I thought this was strange. Also I noticed an applications folder within the applications folder full of the same applications. So I deleted one of the folders. Didn't really do anything.. but again, thought it was strange. What's the deal? Why can't I delete applications?

You have to restart your ipod after you delete them

Tried that already. So far... while there are changes being made in winSCP. None of them are applying to the touch.

Did you purchase the apps? If you did or they came with your ipod then iTunes may keep putting them back. If you didn't maybe you can install the app pack again in the installer and then uninstall with installer

Well I used spoof to hide everything.. but it makes me nervous that SSH is not really working. If anyone comes up with a reason as to why then please let me know! Thanks!

    Ok I figured it out...

In /private/var there was application and within application there was another applications

I dunno why there are so many applications folders but the one I needed to SSH into was the one in /<root>

Which I accidently deleted... so I suppose I need to recover again! =(
