I use my neighbors WIFI and he turned it off. So is there anyway to SSH into my iPod without WIFI?
its called iphone browser, but you have to connect your ipod to your computer
Do people not realize that the entire basis of Secure Shell file tranferring is through a wireless internet? You can not SSH without WiFi. You can file transfer, but transferrig files via SFTP or SCP requires both computers to be connected to the same network, and one or both must be connected wirelessly.
Sorry, it just has been bugging me and this 1074th thread saying this just made me snap.
Actually, you're wrong.
Next time, do a little more research before opening your internet pie-hole.
Do you even know what tunneling is? Its running a wired connection through your iPod to make it think it's using WiFi.
Sorry, I should have said there is no way to SSH unless your iPod thinks it has WiFi.
you can also use TotalCommander
but it's only free for a month (from what I heard)
go with iphonebrowser
Download the iPhone Tunnel Suite that works witout WiFi:
ok so if I use iphone browser how do I set permissions? I had a look at the iphone tunnel but I was like ok how do I use this? :-S
I need to somehow put terminal on my device but not having wifi available to me right now I am kinda stuck ...... help
first click on iphone tunnel and a terminal will open, then click on winscp and login to "iphone"
Don't laugh at people when your wrong. You make yourself sound even more retarded. And yes, you can do what you want to without WIFI. I use DiskAid, which is free. Total Commander works as well. Its all up to your preference, you could also be connected to the same router as well (obviously impossible at your state).
