SSH Videos into iPod AND Watch Them?

    It's possible, but you won't be able to watch them through the Videos app. You'll need some jailbroken app like VLC4iPhone or something like that. Even then, it's really crappy. When I used it, it was slow, choppy, and the sound was messed up.

    Well, you just SSH the videos wherever you want. Download the app, run it and locate the videos. I think that's it. I don't really remember because I deleted it quite quickly.

    The easiest way to do it
    its to ssh the video to i.e var/mobile/media/(you can create a video folder)

    The get iFile from cydia and you can watch any videos you want with it

    what type of formats are usable?? does it do avi's other than just MP4s?

    Of course it works, he was talking about the crappy VLC 4 iphone app that app is awful

    iFile plays flawlessly mp4 and 3gp videos
    works 110%
    ------------------double post merged------------------
    mostly MP4 and 3GP :/
    yxflash though plays flv and avi on iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3

    Download the dTunes app.

    Then SSH the video file to this directory:

    /private/var/mobile/Library/Downloads

    Now just open dTunes and tap the movie file. It should play normally without lag.

    Yea dtunes works fine and you can also use ifile.
