    hello,

i've just jailbroken my iPod Touch 2G and installed OpenSSH.
Now i have the issue, that i'm not able to connect to the iPod. I always get a "connection timeout" after 20 seconds. (Tried with WinSCP and Putty).

The OpenSSH servers seems to be running, i'm able to connect to "root@localhost" and "root@ipadress" using Terminal.

I've read that there various keys generated on first connection. Is it possible that Windows XP just assumes that there is a timeout after 20 seconds because of this key generation?

    thx,
    armithage

If Insomnia is not enabled, the iPod must NOT be locked

Try using iPhone Browser instead of WinSCP

You could also use DiskAid or iFunBox. All via USB.

    Thanks for the hints.

I've tried it with insomnia, but there is still no way to connect through SSH.

The other propositions (iPhone Browser and iPhone Explorer) work very well in return. IMHO the iPhone Browser is the better choice for experienced users or users that are not afraid of seeing everything on the Filesystem.

thx for your help. I'll still try to get SSH to do the stuff it should ;-) As soos as i find a solution i'm going to share it with you.

    cya, A
