Today, I tried SSHing into my device, as I've done many times before. I use WinSCP and OpenSSH. I got an error: "Connection refused." I haven't installed anything new on my iPod or computer. What gives? (Yes, I restarted, resprang, and reinstalled.) Something odd: it said "Connection refused" weather I had SSH toggled on or off.

Check you're connecting to the right IP (host name)
    Check with SBSettings, than WinSCP.

Did all that; something must've been the problem because it works again. Thanks!
