I've got OpenSSH installed on my iPod as well as BossPrefs, with the settings set to SSH on. I am using WinSCP with the IP from my iPod of 192.168.0.7 username: root and password: alpine. But I still don't connect, I know how to SSH but my iPod 2g won't work. Any help?

try searching and installing "Automatic SSH" & "Toggle SSH" on Cydia

    Do a re-spring

    Launch Toggle SSH

    Enable

    Quit the app

    and reconnect with WinSCP

I'm trying this now, thanks for the response.

EDIT: I still get the "Network error: Connection refused." error

Make sure your using the right IP. You probably have a static IP like me, so it changes often on it's own. Disconnect from the internet on your laptop, then reconnect. Turn WiFi off on your iPod, then turn it back on. The IP's on both devices should match and allow you to connect/SSH.

I've got the IP from the internet that I'm connected to (which is 192.168.0.7) I have disconnected from the internet and reconnected a few times and it didn't change anything. Is the Port Number 21 or 22? I've tried both and neither worked though.

I tried this and neither IP changed, my computers is 192.168.0.10 and my iPod is 192.168.0.7, I tried using both of the IP's with ^^ those settings and still I get the error. How come this is only happening to me? lol.

Make sure that your iPod isn't locked or sleeping. It will refuse a connection if it is.

This is really angering me, my iPod isn't locked/sleeping, I've tried disconnecting my computer and my iPod, still have 2 different IP's, and I still can't connect to SSH. ANY other ideas?
