My iphone 3g was on the 4.0 update and since it was extremely laggy I decided to backup my address book and notes files via ssh. Then I downgraded to 3.1.3 and sshed into it, I replaced the address book files with the ones I had previously used (4.0) and it all worked out fine or so i thought. So I go back to my iphone and realize I have no contacts which frustrates me because I literally had just transfered them via ssh. Also, someone said something about "permissions" I dont know if i'm supposed to change something or not?
