ive known ssh and alot about it, i was one of the people that got their ipot right when it came out. got it engraved and all....
i had to do the old school jailbreak for 1.1.1 that took like 30 mins using cmd...

anyways now im on 1.1.4 from iliberty, i have openssh installed, services, all the good stuff.
my laptops running xp, firewall has winscp as exception.

root, alpine, the correct ip, and i get network error:connection refused.

    any ideas?
    \thanks in advance anyone.

Did you look in Services and make sure SSH was turned on?

Always have to ask. Is your protocol set to SFTP and Port 22?

Every now and then I have to reset my router and it will work.

If reseting your router doesn't work then you must have a firewall issue. Also sometimes if you are using remote desktop or similiar it will block the port 22.
