I just used pwnage on my ipod touch and installed OpenSSH, but for some reason, I can't ssh into it. Using mobileterminal on my touch, the ssh daemon doesn't show up in "ps aux" so it looks like it doesn't even start. Trying to start it manually with "/usr/sbin/sshd" gave errors about hostkeys, so I generated a bunch of keys and got rid of the errors but it still won't start.

I re-pwned it and reinstalled OpenSSH, but I keep getting the same problems. Anybody know what's going on?

Are you connected to WiFi? lol.

Also, try simply to download BossPrefs/SSHToggle and toggling it from there. I know that's what sshd does, but eh.

Did you actually install it via Cydia or from within PwnageTool?
I tried merging an compressed tarball of the latest OpenSSH and OpenSSL with a clean 2.0, just to see if I could have the daemon and nothing else, but it would never connect..

I installed it from Cydia, I guess the next step would be to try it from Pwnage. I've tried the bossprefs toggle and the standalone ssh toggler, both don't do anything. Oh, and I am connected to wifi

You have updated it's dependencies (OpenSSH) also, correct?
Just try reinstalling both and try
    Code:
    launchctl load com.openssh.sshd.plist

    while logged in as root.

When I run that command, it can't find the com.openssh.sshd.plist. I believe it should be in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons but it isn't, so maybe that is the problem.

I can ssh out of my ipod, so if I can find a copy of com.openssh.sshd.plist I could put it in the right folder.
