I have a jailbroken ipod 2g. occaisionally, when i turn off ssh through sbsettings to save battery, it freezes, then my ipod shuts off. But the weird thing is, when i booted it the next morning, it had drained all my battery even though the ipod was off... what is causing the crash and how can i fix this?

    ~thanks

It crashes on me too. I just don't turn off SSH. It doesn't use any extra battery if you're not connected to a host.

And your battery was probably drained because the ipod did not actually turn off but restarted into recovery mode. Since the screen doesn't turn on. You would never know.

I don't think that SSH takes a lot of battery power since my SSH is always on and when I put my iPod to sleep mode, after 12 hours only like 3% of battery is wasted.
    Just keep it on
