Actually, I have the same problem at the moment. I'm on the last step of using Putty to SSH to the iPod Touch and it's not connecting. iPhuc seems to be working fine, and all the dropbear stuff is there....

    Anybody got any ideas?

    Thanks

    I've got it as well.

I'm going to try it when I go to my university tomorrow, because I think it has to do with my router, if not then I guess we'll have to wait a bit more for it to be fixed.

Dont try to look smart, you just make a fool of yourself when you answer something compleatly unrelated. Putty is a SSH client

    1. Are you connecting via the same wireless router?
    2. Are the ip addresses of the ipod and your computer the same?

If no and no... then we will have to play guessing game, if yes and yes, are the ip addresses all figures? not 192.168.somename.xxx

I solved mine after having a look at the touchFree.exe source (Source Code.cs) I found some of the steps hadn't worked. Off memory, it didn't run lines 97, 98 and 99... I think there were others after that as well. After I manually ran them with iPhuc, I got SSH working.

    Hope it helps...

    I just solved mine.

I used the 74 step tutorial, and when I had to restart twice I had held home + power untill it restart completely, I fixed it by restoring the ipod and re-doing the tutorial, and when I had to reboot twice I shut it down with the slider.

    Good luck jailbreaking, guys.
