So I put Super Monkey Ball onto my iPod via SSH. That was cool, and it works great. I want to know, however, if it is possible to convert the .zip into a .ipa. Here's how I have it set up

    Monkey Ball.zip/Payload/Monkey Ball.app/...

Anyway, I renamed Monkey Ball.zip to Monkey Ball.ipa. It goes into iTunes, but then will not sync to the iPod because of an "unknown error'. Any suggestions would be nice.

It's not necessary that I do this, but it sure would be nice.

You need to put the iTunesArtwork file in the Monkey Ball.ipa file

Take the icon.png from Monkey Ball.app and copy it to the root directory (You should have the Payload folder, and iTunesArtwork file there) , and rename it to iTunesArtwork (No extension)

The file tree should then look like this after first opening the ipa in as a zip.

    ...........................Payload > Monkey Ball.app > App contents
    Monkey Ball.ipa <
    ...........................iTunesArtwork

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to jailbreak or mess with the firmware at all in the first place, so...

EDIT: I'm sorry, I wasn't talking to you. The person I was talking to appears to have deleted their post.
