I just recently re-jailbroke my 8 gig iTouch with Ziphone, and everything seemed to be working great. However, Term-vt100 is no longer working. I have installed SUID Lib Fix to no avail. I uninstalled it and attempted to reinstall it, and now it always tells me "Main Execution Script Fail" and refuses to install. I also have "Term-vt100 SUID Fix" installed, and that crashes Installer when I try to uninstall it.

Now I have noticed that SSH is not letting me log in. When I log in from my computer, I get this:

    MacBook-2:~ leefarrell$ ssh root@192.168.1.3
    root@192.168.1.3's password:
    Last login: Sat Feb 16 01:35:51 2008 from 192.168.1.7
    Connection to 192.168.1.3 closed.
    MacBook-2:~ leefarrell$

As soon as I log in, it closes the connection. I have no way to access the command line in any way on this device. When I log in on the iTouch itself through terminal, it does the same thing. It logs me out immediately. SSH for the purposes of SFTP still seems to work.

I have read many many threads on here, I have googled extensively, and I still can't get this little bugger to work! Can somebody please help me?

    1. Did you try to access with Fugu?
    2. Perhaps installing OpenSSH could help.

    1. SFTP Access still works fine.
    2. OpenSSH is and has been installed.

I'm pretty sure it can be fixed by OS X's defaults write, but I don't remember how..
Hopefully it leads you in the right direction though.

    It hasn't.

Unfortunately, with no access in any way to the command line of this device, I would have no way use use defaults write even if it would help.

I guess maybe I should just try re-jailbreaking? This picture below shows what I keep getting from Terminal on my Mac.

solution: open cyberduck, connect to ipod, show hidden files and navigate to user folder and delete .profile
