I was wondering if I am able to use the iPod touch's SQLite database server for my forum. Is it possible? If so, how can I create the database and what would the server be, localhost?

    Thanks!

    Why would you want that?

I really don't want a computer running all of the time, so I'd rather use my iPod. I also want it to be something that is free and does not run php in safe mode so I want to try to use my iPod. All of the free web hosting providers have safe mode on and give a restriction of at least 5 MySQL databases.

phpBB does work with SQLite, but...

You realize if you leave your iPod on continuously like that, you'll burn out the wifi.

With enough bandwidth going through it you could cook an egg on it's aluminum back

I am getting a new one from the apple store soon, so I really don't care about the wifi. I've had this iPod in a dock for almost all the time. The wifi stays on if there is power and the wifi is still working. I have other php scripts that need no database and I've had no overheating issues (and it's been serving for awhile). If the wifi does burn out, I would have another provider by the time it is burned out.

Well, you can't access it via conventional ways (Terminal) so idk.
