Will this only help iPhone or all sprint phones?

Just tested the speed a few times.

    Average:
    1.70Mbps Download
    .35Mbps Upload

I noticed that there was a glitch in the system affecting only iPhones the past few days. This would explain it. It was weird, we couldn't get a text unless you were on a phone call.

i'm getting on average 230kBps down and 70kBps up, which is indeed quite a bit faster than what i got 8 days ago (average 150 down, 40 up)

That's my DSL speed about 5 years ago, it's not that bad.

I've been getting an average of 0.50 Mbps download and 0.30 Mbps upload. I got my 4s two days ago and I'm in Columbus Ohio.

It's decent for the iPhone imo. Lot's of people today think that they HAVE to have 10Mbps of download on their phones. In all honesty, I'd choose Sprint over Verizon or ATT for one main reason, unlimited data. Speed doesn't really matter to me on my phone.

This also increased areas of 4G. I now get full bars on 4G in my area. I could barely connect.
