I applied the patch as described in this thread and it worked.

    Here's the proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ti-5W_05K7w

Notice that I quit the Installer to demo the icon moving. It's not a fake, why should I try to fool you? :)

You don't need to apply a patch or something. The link to the file has been posted in this thread.

It was a link to a document that ended in .xml

Open the Url in your browser and you should see that document. In that document there is a link to a SpringBoard.zip

Download the file and upload it to your iPod (maybe do a backup the file on your iPod first) and it should work. That is how I did it. :)

Well I had to figure out how to restore my lost 'SpringBoard' file so that came in handy. ;)

I have a huge problem. I copied that file and put it into my ipod but now after i rebooted it, it won't turn on. It stays on the boot screen where the apple logo is. Is there anyway to fix this without restoring?

EDIT: Fixed it. Forgot to set permissions to 0755

    Same problem here.
I did not see another option than to restore it.
    I hope it works.

READ! The FIRST POST says to change the permission after you uploaded the patched file. Don't modify your iPod if you don't even know that 'chmod +x' means.

Don't restore it, just set the permission of that file to 0755 (or 755).
