I jailbroke my ipod touch 3G recently and I found out that my texture or words under a icon on my springboard is not having the great effect....

The reason I'm bothering with this is because it would be easier to match wallpapers lol.
I don't know what I installed in Cydia..Do I need to remove any packages?
And no! I don't really want to restore..

    I really need help!
    Thanks in advance

After I enabled white icon labels in winterboard, it did improved alittle bit, but its still alittle different from the original lol. I guess thats good enough..
    Thanks by the way.

The difference is the text shadows. As far as I know, there isn't a text shadow theme out there, so you'll just have to use the White Icon Labels theme.
  6. Search Cydia for iOS3 Icon Shadows

I'm not sure if it will work on iOS 4 but it will give you the original look while having Winterboard installed.

Did you try turning off summerboard mode? I think that fixes the problem.

EDIT: Yeah, it fixes the problem.
