Well I was thinking about buying some high gloss spray paint (for metal) and masking off my ipod and letting er rip.

Anyone done this b4 and is it reasonable in appearance?

If it was black I would love it. I think it would look pretty good depending on the color you choose.

    before you spray paint it.

    you should know,
the spray paint will add thickness to your ipod.
(depending on how many layers you apply)
    so take note of that.

usually when im spray painting something
i start off with about 180 grit sandpaper up to bout 300 grit
    and then primer the surface
and sand the primed surface up to at least 600-1000 grit, to get that perfectly smooth surface.
and then you apply the final coat of paint.
(*the final coat of paint should be done in bout 2-3 layers, do not try to drench your object in paint in one layer, as you will get drippings and nasty spots)

**make sure your paints are completely dry before applying a second layer

make sure the surface is literally PERFECT before you apply the paint.

    GOODLUCK!

    cant wait to see them.

damn you read my mind on this but if i were to do it i would first dissasemble to the best of my ability the parts that were being painted. ive painted stuff before and im no pro or anything but ive had some bleed through with painters tape before, so be careful, and if you really do this i definitely want to see some pics.
