I am picky about my ipod touch screen and lately when i drag my finger across the screen its not smooth and i really like it when its smooth and was wondering if a couple drops of spray wax will kind of protect it and make it smoother?

you could be the first one to try. Getting the wax off would be hard, you would have to use heat and the wax might get into the ports

im thinking of maybe just putting a couple drops on a little cloth and wiping it, i dont see it going in the ports if its a couple drops, i just hate when my screen is rough and i will do anything to have it be smooth again >_<

i'd use peroxide with a microfiber cloth, much more safer, its only been a few months it shouldnt be rough, go to apple store and ask?
