    iPhone has an app for just about anything. Is there a app " Speed Gun" to check the speed of any moving object. Similar to the one used in Cricket to check bowling speed.

    Just letting you know, the concept would be an easy idea, as:

    S=D/T.

    That is, the speed of an object can be determined by it's displacement in the frame of time.

    However, using this with the iPhone's camera would be near impossible, as the "Speed gun"s that cops use have a high-def camera that doesn't blur as the object travels past. Where as if you were to throw a tennis ball across the screen and cut it down using the frames (3GS) you'd only see slides of a yellow blurred object.

    The concept could easily and definitely be achievable if there was a fixed "spot" and using the autofocus feature to capture the start and finish of the moving object then calculate the distance, but again just had a thought and the program would need proper calibration to work out the distance in measurable units to work out "distance".

    tl;dr - Possibly, but you'll need to look very hard.
