    Hey everyone,

Trying to build a reputation here, since I love this forum, lol. Anyway, I just wrote a tutorial on how to spoof your MAC address to defeat filters using only Term-vt100. I haven't seen it posted yet so I thought I would. You can check it out here: http://alonelyorange.com/node/25

Let me know what you think!

Also, if anyone wants to try to make a little app out of it (it's so simple) let me know!

Well we know that this technique will work, but it doesn't really provide much benefit. The greatest challenge is obtaining a WEP/WPA key, and it's well thrashed out that this is not possible using an iPhone. So if you also have a, say, laptop to perform the WEP/WPA cracking, why not just use the laptop further? In addition, finding an "unused" MAC address that an AP does not filter may not always be a panacea. If the "owner" of that MAC address returns, confusion (for both) reigns.

Well, I use this at school, since the key is public, and I use a laptop from one of the carts for the MAC. It may help some people

I'd imagine you could just write it down, and copy it back on.

This is also good for if you have a laptop with you at an airport. Sniff for MAC addresses, spoof one, get free wifi

Am I reading Danls right? You're saying that if I find a device that auto-connects to a network, if I have the same Mac, that it will also connect? I think I found heaven!

--Link is broken for me :S
