I want to spoof my iPod as a 2nd generation or a 1st generation, because that annoying crappy bloom effect in Asphalt severly worsens the graphics. The bloom is only there on 3GS and ipt3, so can i deleted the feature from the asphalt files, or can i spoof my device?

what do you mean by bloom? is it like the graphics being bad?

and i don't think you can spoof the model. firmware is the only thing that can be spoofed.

I was wondering the same thing. It's not because of the game... It's just because I wantto spoof it as a 2nd gen.

I thought the graphics for Asphalt are fine for the 3rd gen. I couldn't see why you would need so much of a performance boost.

No, u see gameloft added this bloom effect for 3rd gens in which everything seems excessilvely bright and the way the track renders on the screen make it seem like squares 20 ft. in front of the car. On older models, the graphics are somewhat similar to the screenshots. They only added the effect to make the car models appear smoother with less pixelation. EA did it in shift without any bloom.
