So I recently jailbroke my 1G 3.1.3 iPod Touch with Spirit, and things couldn't be better, except for one tiny little problem. Every since I jailbroke it things have seemed a bit sluggish at times, is this normal for an opensource jailbreak or is there a way I can fix it?

Btw, sorry if this doesn't go here, it slows down A LOT when using Cydia.

Then its probably your hardware. Nothing you can do about that.

If it's a problem with my hardware, won't that eventually crash it?

No, your hardware is too low spec to run Spirit fast. It probably won't cause crashes, just be slow.

So if I jailbreak say a 2G touch with spirit, the slowdown wouldn't be there because the specs are better?

Exactly, though you might as well spring for a 3G

Kind of been short on cash, but my device just got a giant pressure point on the upper left hand side which is very annoying so I almost have no choice.

    Damn my luck.
