    Hi everybody
I've searched about a similar topic but I get no results.
Could I use DiskAid to transfer an AVI file and watch it by using VLC? Do the program find the video or do I need to transfer it in SSH mode with SFTP?

    Thank you,
    bye

I wouldn't recommend doing that, because even with the ipt3g, VLC is choppy at best. You could convert it, and then just sync normally.

To play avi files I would recommend using yxflash, its much faster and plays it very smooth

and yeah you can make a folder called Movies or videos in var/mobile/media, and then put the file in there, and then navigate to that on vlc4iphone and play it from there.

    Thank you both,
I just tried and it works but yx doesn't go fast and VLC is not different.
    Ok, just to test

VLC lets you play the avi files in portrait mode only, but yxflash lets you play all formats, avi, wmv, mkv etc all in landscape full screen, so I think its better, the only thing is that its not able to run in the background like vlc

Anyway I think I'll convert my files in mp4.. they're smoother!
