I removed about 15 launch daemons and I actually have less ram now. I got up to 160 before I removed them now I get 157 max. Isn't that weird?

Have you restarted your device? Have you installed any new tweaks between the time you removed the daemons to now?

I deleted them, rebooted and then checked my RAM. I can only get 154 max now and I only have 4 simple tweaks.

4 tweaks still uses RAM, simple or not. Expect about 2-5MB of RAM used per tweak. You should be fine. More advanced tweaks use anywhere from 10-15MB of RAM each. Also account for dependancies which may also run in the background SBSettings also uses Poof! (or whatever it's called now) and Activator for example.

I had the same tweaks before I removed the daemons also. So the ones I removed made no difference in RAM, maybe just reboot speed.

When there is more RAM available the system will use it. It'll create an overall increase in speed. Your device doesn't need to read/write as much to the RAM now...

Thanks!!!! i deleted all daemons i could find on the "safe" list and some on "conditional" list and my ipod is considerably faster...testing start-up speed. bout the same.and a good 10 mb's of RAM. however my ipod now says searching where its supposed to say ipod. is this because of the comm.center plist i deleted?

Yup, like we've said millions of times that is your exact problem, put it back and you should be good to go. iPod Touch 4G users user commCenter for Factime (you know, that app you never use).

If you don't have it, restore if it really bothers you (and take it as a lesson learned, back up yo' stuff boi!)
