I was wondering if there's any known way to speed up the processor speed of the 1st gen touch. The 3.0+ firmware has really bogged it down. I know apple upped it a back in like 1.1.2 but is there anyway to up it while being jailbroken? Battery life isn't a concern. Thanks

Don't use WinterBoard or different programs that use a lot of memory.

Install SBSettings and free up some memory whenever you deem necessary.

Right now its basically a clean jailbroken iPod. Like it just has Cydia on it and my music with a few app store apps. I was comparing it to my new 3g touch and I realized that while the 3rd gen is obviously much faster, I know that my 1g wasn't always this slow. I'm thinking that all this new stuff is just too much for the 412mhz processor to handle.
