    Hey guys,
I've had an iPod Touch 1st gen 16gb for about 2 years now. It's jb with 3.1.3 and I've been noticing for a long time now that it gets laggy when I'm running several applications (backgrounder) and even without backgrounder, heavy games lag. When I type for example, the word shows up a few milliseconds after i press the letter. I even restored but the lag comes back after a while.

    Can anyone recommend any solutions?
Also, I'm considering selling this and buying a 2nd gen 8gb. Does a 2g have any memory or processor power advantage over a 1g at all? I know the 3g 32/64gb do.

    Thanks guys!

I guess it doesn't look like a big difference, but it's noticeable when you use them. YouTube some videos of 1g vs 2g and you'll see.

Underclocked means even though the processor can go faster. It won't.

People said above that the 2g is a little faster. The 2g performs better then the 1g
