There will be people selling iPhone 3g's on ebay an other sites. Now obviously those independent sellers will not enforce a contract, so what happens? Rumors would suggest that it is bricked until signed on a contract, but there has to be a way to "unbrick" it it seems like it would be pretty easy too....What do you think?

I know there are other no contract threads but this is different, this is about independent 3g sellers......so please do not flame.

The 3G iPhone will be on a minimum 2-year contract with AT&T before leaving the store, so until at least July 11th, 2010, that would conclude there would be no 3G iPhones sold on eBay/other third party sellers without a contract. The whole purpose of unlocking was so that you could use the phone with no/different carrier.

I don't quite know yet, how the unsubsidized or iPhones will work.

    Stolen ones won't be activated.
