My apartment Internet address is behind some type of firewall, instead of my computer looking automatically for an IP & DNS address I have to use the following specific IP & DNS address on my "1394 connection" & my "Local Area connection" to access the Internet:

    IP address- 192 168 1 **
    subnet mask 255 255 *** 0
    Default gateway 192 168 1 ***

    preferred DNS server 203 *** 33 2

I've gone to my IPod Touch Wi-Fi settings DHCP area and typed in above info into the following Ipod wi-fi subfields:

    IP Address
    Subnet Mask
    Router (couldn't find "Default Gateway")

but wi-fi is still not working........

    am I doing something wrong???
