Not sure if this is new, but I took the sound-out/green jack from my speakers, and my speakers play music. They do video, or any other sounds that normally come out via the headphones. Just thought I would share this.

You really aught to submit to the Mac guys over at TUAW, im sure this qualifies as Breaking news. Erica will be happy to have a great story like this to write about. great find, we have all been wondering what that familair 3.5 mm jack was used for. you say it transfers all sound? even with podcasts? I hear that podcasts need a special kind of cable, called a PCable. I hope you arent just trying to get my hopes up! again, great find. Your first post is a milestone in the iPod community history.
