Sometimes my speakers make a faint "popping" sound. One thing that seems to make the sound is when I go to the search-area of the homescreen, and the keyboard appears..

Is there something wrong with my iPhone?

I can't seem to hear the sound through my headphones.. I'm on 4.0.1 if that makes any difference..

That's VERY strange, have you tried something simple as a reboot?

Seems like a hardware problem. How loud are your speakers turned up?

Are you listening to music while doing it?
