The last two sentences have conflicting tones. Just a minor grammatical hiccup.
"But before you go and purchase this app for 99 cents, keep in mind that it has a number of bugs and performance issues that simply cannot be overlooked. Plus, Apple might pull it at any moment."
The former has a tone that says "maybe don't buy it" and the latter has one that says "get it while you can," so the word "Plus" shouldn't be used, as that would insinuate that the former "plus" the latter are the reasons to carry out a certain action. "However" or a synonym of it would be more suitable.

If they use Google's data for turn-by-turn navigation they will probably have their API key invalidated since that is not allowed according to the Google Maps Terms of Service.

If the advantages to the app outweigh the disadvantages (e.g. bugs) then you might as well. But Apple will probably end up pulling in it which case the bugs won't get fixed so you would be stuck with them.

Then again an Apple executive could of personally authorised this app to be accepted due to the Apple Maps mishap as to add another alternative to Apple Maps

    Why would it be rejected?
