Space Monger is a Windows application that tells you your disk space and which applications are taking what. With iTunes it only shows a bar like this:

I'm not exactly sure what the 1.14GB used is (probably jailbroken files/temp). Is there an application like space monger for the iPod or Windows that will give you a more in-depth look at what's eating your HDD space?

OK thanks. I've searched for a decent amount of time but found nothing relevant.

PS Yeah that's mine, it's only an 8GB ipod.

i read a article that says that the iphone/ipod touch has no way yet to do those functions. The closest thing i found was memtool in cydia. Its japanease or korean or what ever asian language that is but it says how much free mem you got, what are running and how much ram they using, and the option to kill processes.

    -bump-

I've managed to delete apps etc. that I never use, only keep ones that I do use most often. I have 3.20GB of apps and 186mb free! I need to know which apps are taking the most space so I can backup the settings on them and remove them so I can re-install them when needed.

Check the programs category in iTunes, if you look at an apps info, i dont know if the size is fir the ipa or when installed, probably the ipa, but the ones with the biggest size there should be the ones taking most of you space

hmm whats all that other you have? 1.4gb is a lot, ive barely got 600mb of other... have you done an update without doing a complete restore? sometimes that leaves a lot of old cydia files around doing nothing i think

I don't sync my apps with iTunes so I cannot view details there.
