I thinks it's lame and not innovative. What's SO AMAZING about a .5 inch taller screen that is the same width? They should have gone for the 4.3". It's still usable with one hand could have kept overall look, thickness and been able to keep the aspect ratio of the apps for a long time. Now what are they gonna do give us an amazing 5S next year then resize again for the 6? I only upgraded to sell my 199$ i5 for 710$ on eBay!
I am fine with the overall size increase. I hate every single android phone with a screen over 4 inches. They are too big. I have smaller hands, and its annoying quite frankly. I don't know if I will get the 5 but I like the looks of it. I will say this versus all of the others. Apple still makes one of the least cheap looking phones out there. The Galaxy series looks like it would just bust into a million pieces with all the plastic.
Had a little shot in the Apple Store and I was surprised at how lightweight it is and it feels great. The new screen size works really well it looks like it was meant to be that size! Can't wait to see it on the iPod Touch.
As an engineer, I appreciate the fact that Apple is stabilizing the design and trying not to just "out feature" the competition. I'll go for a solid and mature product in a New York Minute over something that is "bleeding edge". I'm much more confident that this device won't let me down in a pinch. But that's just me.
Love it. Light, powerful, beautiful screen, perfect size, a lot of capabilities with the screen, and plain out sexy. Hate the audio jack on the bottom, still. But hey, thats what the 4S is for.
