i have an unlocked and jailbroken iphone 2g (original) running on 3.0 OS firmware. i'm currently using no carrier/sim card and just using it as an "ipod touch with a camera."

can someone please clarify to me:

    - is the $5.99 tzone plan still circulating? i've heard mixed things from something dated 1 month ago. if it is not, then what is the cheapest data plan available?
    - how much internet usage do you get for the $5.99 tzone plan?
    - can you use it on a pay as you go/prepaid type plan?
    - can you purchase just a data plan and no minutes?

    - if it's working, still $5.99, pay as you go, and just data plan, how do i go about setting it up?

sorry if any of these assumptions are ridiculously inaccurate, i tried googling it but kept going in circles, i figured you guys would know best

    1. nope, if your talking about T-mobile then it's $9.99 for unlimited data
    2. unlimited, though there is a secret 10GB limit, if u go over that then ur speeds are decreced to GPRS.
    3. nope, contract only/flexpay
    4. nope
    5. get t-zones hack from cydia

okay, is there any other options i have other than signing a new contract with some other mobile carrier? i have verizon right now (sucks, i know) and there's no way i can terminate my contract or even switch over when it's up because my company gives me a 30% discount for verizon...i'd be losing too much money.

i'm sure there's not any way to do this, but there's no prepaid/pay as you go/etc company that will let you just have a data plan, huh?

Well if you go with T-mobile Prepaid you only have to refill $10 every 3 months, and I know a way to get Free internet on Tmobile Prepaid, but posting it on here would probably be Illegal.
