Sony was the last of the 3 giants to show off their up coming products and games.

Microsoft Pulled off a hefty show, tho a bit lackluster, I think due to kinect. Click here to see my coverage on the Microsoft E3 event.

Today Sony came on stage, and well tho it wasn't the best, it was far from the worst. Many questions and surprises were announced.

It kicked started with Killzone 3. It was shown in stunning 3D. The Audience were asked to where the glasses. The Graphics look INCREDIBLE even in 2D. The way the gameplay is shown is like the enemies are coming towards you. We also saw some jetpack gameplay The game almost looks like a platformer in first person! The graphics were like that of a CG film, as expected.
The game is said to be built with 3D in mind, and is stated to do 3D for Gaming, for what Avatar did for Movies. Bold statement indeed.

Sony are being massively premature with their 3D push. It's not going to become relevant in the household for a while yet. 99% of PS3 owners will not own a 3DTV this generation.

But then again they were also premature with their bluray push, and look how that turned out.

Qaiz, why do you refuse to update that "E3 - So Far" thread? We don't need a new thread for this.

Yes, but Blu-Ray was usable from day 1 for every PS3 user. Every game used it. This is also the HD generation, so most gamers can take advantage of Blu-Ray and where likely to during the PS3's life. To play a game in 3D, you need a 3DTV. The vast majority of people don't have one, and won't for quite a while.

I'm also incredibly disappointed in the lack of PSP2. It leaves the handheld world open for the 3DS to dominate, even though Sony said they're gonna show more love to the PSP, that doesn't make it less outdated.
