6.2. Go to /private/var/root and create a folder and call it Media (Exactly like that)
6.3. Now Enter These Codes In A Terminal Of Choice (I prefer WinSCP's):
    Code:

    cp -R /private/var/root/Media /private/var/mobile/

    Code:

    rm -r /private/var/root/Media

    Code:

    ln -s /private/var/mobile/Media /private/var/root/Media

    Code:

    cp -R /private/var/root/Library /private/var/mobile/

    Code:

    rm -r /private/var/root/Library

    Code:

    ln -s /private/var/mobile/Library /private/var/root/Library

6.4. Now Restart your iPhone/iPod Touch

that should do the trick....hope it helps

Create the folder. Easy as that.

I had your same problem using for example iPhone Browser (my iPod is jailbroke with ZiPhone),iPod seemed not jailbroken. Maybe u can install ZiPhone iBrickr Fix from the repository of i.unlock.no (search for it, I don't remember) and then u can access /root and /var and not only /var/mobile
    enjoy
