Okay, so today I was listening to music when all of a sudden my iPod screen went a blank white (a few random lines of black now and then). I turned it off, only to discover that I wasn't able to turn it on again. I connected it to my computer, and though it recognized my iPod as an iPod Touch, it said it was in recovery mode (note the screen is BLANK, there is no little USB cable/iTunes logo image) and I had to restore it.

"Okay", I said, and I restored my iPod. After about 5 minutes of "waiting for iPod..." it gave me an error (1600). I tried almost every trick there is on the internet (restore, use quickpwn, DFU mode, etc.) to no avail. The screen on my iPod won't even turn on, so there is no way to know whether it is in DFU/Recovery/Restore mode or not.

    Any help from you guys?

you most likely have damage to something inside like water damage or a faulty part. i would get it replaced under warrenty.

Maybe when you were listening to your iPod you drooled on it.
