Hi, I have some question about unlock and hacktivate:
    1. If I update firware to 4.1 through iTunes, it will also update my baseband, no matter what device I have. Is this right?

    2. If I update to 4.1 with custom firmware created by Sn0wBreeze, it wont update my baseband, and I can unlock by UltraSn0w. Is this right?

    3. If I use "hacktivate my iphone" feature in Sn0wBreeze, I dont have to put in official iPhone carrier SIM, it will be activated after restore (with custom firmware) and I can go to Cydia to download UltraSn0w. Is this right?

    New question:

    4. If I update my firmware through iTunes, my baseband were updated. So if I have SHSH for 4.0 or smt lower, and I do downgrade, will my baseband also downgrade?

iPhone 4 doesn't use Sn0wbreeze + IMO Sn0wbreeze sucks bigtime. Redsn0w is way better, but again, not for iPhone 4. Wait for SHAtter!

I tried SB with my iPod 2G and my iPhone 3G, it buggy sometimes but both of them jailbroken now

Totally agree with you that Redsn0w is way better, but it doesnt have Windows version, so SB is the only option for now

i wouldn't say anything bad about sn0wbreeze, its usually one of the first tools released, I've always used it if my device was supported. yes it buggy, but it still works

Another question: If I update my firmware through iTunes, my baseband were updated. So if I have SHSH for 4.0 or smt lower, and I make an downgrade, will my baseband also downgrade?

From my understanding you can not downgrade you baseband unless you have an early production iphone 3g

I can't see why Redsn0w isn't out for Windows which most people have yet.

Nope, your baseband is permanant. Once it's upgraded, it stays that way (Which causes Error 1015 while downgrading in iTunes, which can be fixed by using TinyUmbrella to boot out of recovery).
