So I have a 2G iPod touch. A few days ago I upgraded from 2.2.1 jailbreak to 3.1.2. Everything is fine; I still have my photos and my apps. But I only have a few megabytes left. The "other" is taking up 4.5 GB if my space. So I looked it up on google and everywhere I go it says I have to restore. So I was wondering, since I'm planning on jailbreaking it using blackra1n, will that get rid of all the "other" files? Also, will jailbreaking it get rod of all my songs, apps, and photos?

    1. Restore to 3.1.2

    2. Jailbreak with blackra1n

    3. Jailbreaking will not get rid of your apps or music.

Jailbreaking won't delete anything. As stated above

Go to iTunes after your iPod is plugged in, click on (insert your iPod name here) and hit restore. NOTE: this WILL get rid of all your songs, apps, etc. but you can just use your backup from the last time you synced.

When you jailbreak you don't have to restore. Just make sure your on the 3.1.2 firmware if not you can shift update or just update.

This happened to me once. It went into Safemode after I re-ran blackra1n.
