    - My IPOD touch successfully releases and renews its IP.

    - My laptop gets online on my network.

    - I have full signal strength.

    - I have connected to my network for months, and suddenly it stopped connecting about a month ago.

    - I have a dlink di-524 router, I updated the firmware last week.

    - MAC Filtering is off, and my network is unsecured

    - I cannot even connect via an IP address... so it's not a DNS problem.

    - This has been going on for awhile, i have restarted the ipod, restarted the router, unplugged everything, still no luck. i wish it was that easy.

WHAT DO I DO???? WHAT CAN THE PROBLEM BE??

Restart router, restart iPod and try again

Go into your router settings and change your wireless connection to Wireless-G.

    Go to http:///192.168.1.1

Login as admin and password admin.

Go to Wireless settings, and change it to Wireless G.

it doesnt have to be wireless G, but that is prefered. Make sure you go into your ipod and click on prefferences and wi-fi. Then select your network(if your iPod can see it) and look for the renew lease or forget network option. Press that forget network if you havent done so already. Then restart the router and log onto it from your PC. Then let your iPod log into it. Then by login into your router via the method mentioned in a previous post, you should be able to see your iPod in the DNS Client list. If its not there then there is soemthing wrong with your router.
