    I doubt it.

The upgrade and the update are two separate things. The 2.0 update is essentially the AppStore while the Upgrade are the Maps and all that.

Apple has pretty much made it free by offering it on the newly bought iPods, it being on the iPhone presently, and those who have already bought it have it stored via iTunes.

    Yes, it will.

On the Apple homepage, the picture of the iPhone even has the January Update icons on it...

Also, because it has GPS, they would have to include Maps anyway...

    Argh, 2 different answers >_<

The main one I use is notes... will the new Update have a similar app in it?

They're called the iPhone Applications....They were on the iPhone since it was released. iPod touch owners had to pay a fee, the $20, in order to get them.

I believe the original poster is asking if the 2.0 update, which is going to be available for the iPod Touch for $10, will include those apps.

And, yes, I'm pretty sure that 2.0 will have the January Upgrade apps in it.

Aye, I have an iPod Touch, I didn't buy the updates.. I just jailbroke but I thinking of buying everything now and was hoping the Jan applications will be in the 2.0 update.

Oh, you're wondering if the Firmware 2.0 update will include the January App Pack for iPod touch users? I'm not entirely sure, although it will be $9.99 to purchase Firmware 2.0 for iPod touch users.

Didn't the iPhone always have the January Update apps?
