What should I do first? I want to make sure I do this correctly. Do I need to download 1.1.4 firmware? Can someone link me?

    http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ <--1.1.4 Firmware.

Restore it, then put device in Recovery mode than hit iPwner. Thats what I did on Mac OS X. I'd imagine it the same on Windows.

Thats to Pwn it. Then you need to build Custom 1.1.4 with WinPWN.

When I build the firmware, you mean choose all the apps and boot logos I wish to have?

Yessirebob. Though the Boot Logo part may not work. I tried to build a FW with boot logos on Mac OS X and it wouldn't work.

As for custom apps, I'm not sure if its the same or different for WinPWN and PwnageTool 1.1

PwnageTool uses .bundle files that have the Apps and Extra information in em.

So I have to make the .bundle files, or does it do that for me?

You have to make them yourself. As I said. Pwnage Tool for Mac uses .Bundle files.

I am not sure about WinPWN.

Right now using the beta version of winpwn you can only install the installer but then you can go through installer to add whatever you want. You can use custom boot images though

Please Register or Log in to view images

If you wait a little bit, I am making a video that shows you how to build your custom firmware.
