Ok so i have a few questions about jailbreaking my device. The first question is my mom will not let me jail break if she cant put the parental controls back on. Thats like blocking youtube and disableing safari. I will also be using an alternat browser.

Also i wanted to ask after i jail break it on my second gen running 3.1.3 will i be able to resync it to Itunes to put all my stuff back on it like my apps and music? Or will i need to use a different program?

I also need to ask if this tutorial still works http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=276351

    Thanks.

That tutorial still works. And yes, you can still use iTunes to sync. And as far as I know parental controls will still work fine.

The parental controls will work just fine, so you can jailbreak it.

If you have access to the AppStore, get Opera Mini as a web-browser. It is AMAZING.

Also, for youtube videos, get MxTube, streaming AND downloading of YouTube videos. Hope I helped!

Yeah listen to everyone above you. Jailbreaking gives you an alternative for just about everything that can be disabled. MxTube for Youtube, Opera Mini in the app store, Poof can be used to enable safari haha...

So when Parental Control's blocks something, it just poofs it away? What about Spotlight?

Well what you can do is if your parental unit disables Safari and Youtube, just install poof and then unhide it, then hide it again and it will not show up on the springboard, but you can find it in spotlight.
